Arctic Cat Alterra 110 specifications, dimensions and price

Arctic Cat · Youth

Arctic Cat recommends the Alterra 110 for riders 10 and older under adult supervision. Its 112cc engine, automatic transmission and reverse make it a youth configuration, rather than a utility ATV with an adult load rating.

Price the US machine with its delivery lines

Arctic Cat’s US Alterra 110 listing identifies configuration A2027ASC2CUSW and separates $3,399 MSRP, $400 freight and $500 dealer setup. Adding those posted lines gives $4,299 before taxes, title and other applicable charges. A local written quote can differ; compare the line items rather than treating MSRP as the checkout total.

Controls to examine before starting

The US listing specifies ages 10 and older, an adjustable throttle, a speed-limiting governor and electric start. It also identifies adjustable spring preload and a visibility flag.

These are distinct things to inspect: a governor setting is not a suspension adjustment, and the flag is not a passenger attachment. Keep the supplied operating instructions with the machine when ownership changes.

For storage and transport, the listed 57.5-inch length is 4 feet 9.5 inches. A hypothetical five-foot platform leaves only 2.5 inches of total length difference before accounting for loading hardware and securement.

That calculation does not establish trailer fit; measure the usable deck and the ramp transition. The 265 lb specification is dry weight, so it excludes at least some operating fluids and is not a scale reading of a loaded ATV.

The Arctic Cat Alterra 110 is the maker's youth ATV: a 112cc air-cooled four-stroke single with electronic fuel injection, an automatic CVT with forward, neutral and reverse, and two-wheel-drive chain drive. Arctic Cat recommends it for riders 10 and up under adult supervision, and lists it at $3,399, the lowest price among the 110cc youth quads here.

Arctic Cat says the 112cc four-stroke gives a beginner rider all the power needed for an adrenaline rush and calls the sturdy suspension with adjustable spring pre-load shocks a game changer for young riders. ATVpedia is blunter about limits: short suspension travel, chain-drive 2WD, no utility ratings and a real transaction price above the headline MSRP.

That is the fair summary of a $3,399 machine, a cheap and simple first quad rather than a working one.

ATVpedia's advice is practical: have the intended rider sit on the quad with the engine off, and check that both feet sit securely in the footwells and that the throttle, brake levers and handlebar are comfortable at full steering lock. A child who cannot reach the levers with the bars turned is too small for it, whatever the age label says. Arctic Cat's recommended age is 10 and up with adult supervision.

At $3,399 it is $600 below Polaris's Outlaw 110 and Sportsman 110 at $3,999 and $350 below Yamaha's Raptor 110 and Grizzly 110 at $3,749. It is also the lightest of the five at 265 lb dry, against 278 to 315 lb for the others. The Polaris machines have a factory speed limit under 15 mph that a parent can adjust, and the Arctic Cat's page does not say the same.

So ask the dealer how the throttle limit is set.

Polaris's Outlaw 110 EFI and Yamaha's Raptor 110 are the sport-styled 112cc rivals. The Arctic Cat is the lightest and the cheapest.

Arctic Cat recommends it for riders 10 years and older with adult supervision. Check that the child can reach the levers at full steering lock.
