Polaris · Youth

The 2026 Polaris RZR 200 EFI is Polaris's smallest side-by-side, a 180cc single-cylinder, two-wheel-drive youth machine with a seat belt, a full protective cage and safety nets. Polaris limits it to under 16 mph at the factory, adjustable by a supervising adult. It is a first vehicle for a young driver, built with chain drive, steel wheels and disc brakes; 2026 Polaris RZR 200 EFI specifications and price.

How the RZR 200 is built.

The RZR 200 is a simple, durable machine. Dirt Hammer notes chain drive, steel wheels, disc brakes and fuel injection. So it can be used and abused and repaired like putting Legos together, and observes that Polaris gives no official power figure, though a 180cc single is unlikely to make more than about 15 hp.

ATVPedia calls it a superb first side-by-side for young drivers, pairing gentle power with class-leading parental controls such as geofencing and speed limits inside a seat-belt-and-cage package.

How the limiter and belt interlock work

The limiter caps speed, and not engine revs. Messick's tested one and found that even with the speed set to 10 mph, the engine can still be revved all the way up, and that without the seat belt locked in, the machine only drives about five miles an hour. That means a child will hear a fast-sounding engine while the vehicle stays slow. Parents should check the belt interlock and speed setting before every ride.

RZR 200 EFI against the Ranger 150 EFI.

The Ranger 150 EFI is the closest alternative. It uses the same cage and Ride Control, costs $6,499, and has a 150cc engine and a small utility bed. The RZR 200 is the sport-styled choice, with a bigger 180cc engine and a lighter payload.

Polaris restricts it to under 16 mph at manufacture, and a supervising adult can adjust the limiter. Messick's found the engine can still rev freely while the speed stays limited.

How much horsepower does the RZR 200 EFI have?

Polaris does not publish a power figure. Dirt Hammer estimates that the 180cc single is unlikely to make more than about 15 hp.
