Visordown tested the Street Glide Ultra. The article says the tester is not sure whether it was an issue with the bike or whether all the weight creates extra strain, but that the six-speed transmission felt particularly agricultural. It says that normally when people lament the heft of a Milwaukee machine the reply is that the weight is kept manageably low and that you get used to it quickly.

What Visordown found
The same source describes the twin-cooled Milwaukee Eight 117 as claiming peak outputs of 107 bhp at 5,020 rpm and a very beefy 129 lb-ft of torque at just 3,500 rpm.
Size, weight and price
The Street Glide weighs 811 lb in running order, 27 lb less than the Road Glide, and has a 26.4 in laden seat, a 6 gal tank and a 64 in wheelbase, with dual discs and Brembo calipers. Its price of $24,999 is $1,000 less than the Road Glide's $25,999 and $2,750 less than its own 2025 price. Honda's Gold Wing at $25,500 is $501 more and 5 lb lighter at 806 lb.
Street Glide against the tourers
Indian's Roadmaster at $34,999 and 919 lb and Pursuit Limited at $32,499 and 937 lb are the American rivals, and BMW's R 18 Transcontinental weighs 954.6 lb. The Street Glide is the least expensive of the tourers on this list. The tester's comment about gearbox feel is worth checking on a test ride.
Harley-Davidson Street Glide — specification reference2026 Harley-Davidson Street Glide compared to the Road Glide
The defining difference between the Street Glide and Road Glide is the fairing mount. The Street Glide's batwing fairing bolts to the fork and turns with the front wheel, which is the traditional touring setup and the lighter of the two by the 27 lb Harley-Davidson's own page states. The Road Glide's shark-nose fairing bolts to the frame instead and stays fixed relative to the chassis while the bars turn underneath it.
A design Harley-Davidson has marketed for years as reducing the wind load a rider feels through the handlebar at highway speed, since the fairing's aerodynamic drag loads the frame instead of the rider's arms.
Harley-Davidson's own page lists identical output for both, the same 105 hp and 130 lb-ft Milwaukee-Eight 117, so the choice comes down to $1,000 in price, 27 lb of weight, and whether a rider prefers a fairing that turns with the wheel or one that does not, not a difference in engine performance.

Motorcycle News says that on a normal ride it usually finds its spine takes a few wince-worthy jolts from seat to skull, but after 150 miles of mixed surfaces, speeds and road quality that never happened on the CVO 121 Street Glide.
The report adds that the rear brake, a 300 mm disc with a four-piston Brembo caliper, makes a dramatically tangible difference to the braking power available, and that the car-size footbrake pedal gives meaty braking force.
What sets it apart
The CVO Street Glide costs $49,999, the most of the three CVO baggers here, and has the variable-valve-timing 121 engine rated at 139 ft-lb at 3,000 rpm. It weighs 838 lb in running order, has a 26.7 in seat, 5.5 in of ground clearance and a 6 gal tank. The ST version costs $5,000 less, makes 145 ft-lb at 4,000 rpm and weighs 22 lb less.
The plain CVO is the more relaxed, more luxurious touring choice.
Value question
At $49,999 the CVO Street Glide costs $25,000 more than Harley's regular Street Glide at $24,999. The money buys the bigger engine and the premium finishes. A rider who wants comfort and long-distance touring should test the regular bike first and decide whether the extra is worth it.
Test the rear brake, since the large pedal and Brembo caliper are a highlight. Check the infotainment for lag and the audio for distortion. Compare the price with a regular Street Glide, which costs $25,000 less.

The CVO Street Glide ST is Harley's race-derived batwing bagger, with a 121ci High Output engine, fully adjustable Showa suspension and Brembo brakes. Cycle Trader says its 816 lb wet weight shows at low speed but dissipates once underway, and Harley asks $44,999.
Cycle Trader says the 816 lb wet weight is very evident pulling the bike off the side stand and at slow speeds. But the mass dissipates once underway and its Dunlop tires (130/60B19 front, 180/55B18 rear) are surprisingly happy to lean in.
It gives the chassis, suspension, handling and ride characteristics a score of 9, and says several years of racing development from King of the Baggers bikes let the ST add a bigger, higher-output engine, race-derived suspension and a wider array of electronics, with carbon details, exclusive paint and fully adjustable suspension creating a premium, race-bred motorcycle.
Total Motorcycle says the Milwaukee-Eight 121 High Output engine delivers 127 horsepower and 145 lb-ft of torque, that fully adjustable Showa suspension and Brembo brakes deliver the precision an aggressive rider demands, and that performance dual floating front rotors add stopping power worthy of its speed.
