Total Motorcycle says new 2025 Roadmaster models are upgraded from a standard heated seat to Indian's Heated and Cooled seat, and that the two-up seat uses a graphene material to optimize heating or cooling while keeping comfort.

The same source says the Roadmaster now has the 116 cubic inch Thunderstroke engine and a redesigned fairing, a full-featured bike for riders who want the ultimate road trip, and that the PowerBand Audio system is operated through a 7-inch touchscreen display by RIDE COMMAND.

Indian lists a 46 mm telescopic fork with 4.7 in of travel, a single air-adjustable rear shock with 4.5 in, dual 300 mm floating front rotors with four-piston calipers and a 300 mm rear rotor. Chassis figures: 25 degrees of head angle, 5.9 in of trail, 65.7 in between the axles and 5.5 in of clearance. It weighs 919 lb in running order and has a 28 in seat.

Roadmaster against the baggers

It weighs 919 lb against 719 lb, 811 lb, 838 lb and 806 lb. The Roadmaster is the heaviest and most expensive of these tourers.

Size, brakes and touring equipment

The Roadmaster is a 919 lb machine on a 65.7 in wheelbase with a 5.9 in trail and 25 degrees of rake, which makes it stable at speed. The dual 300 mm floating front rotors with four-piston calipers and the 300 mm rear rotor with a two-piston caliper are the brakes for that weight.

It has a 5.5 gal tank, a 28 in seat, the highest of the cruisers here, and 5.5 in of ground clearance.

The touring package includes the redesigned fairing, a 7-inch RIDE COMMAND touchscreen and the PowerBand audio system.

What the price buys against Harley and Honda

The Roadmaster costs $34,999, and Harley's Road Glide at $25,999 and Street Glide at $24,999 are $9,000 and $10,000 lower. Honda's Gold Wing is $25,500 and 806 lb. Indian's own Indian Pursuit Limited is $32,499 and 937 lb.

The Roadmaster's Heated and Cooled seat with a graphene layer is the feature Total Motorcycle stresses, and it is a comfort feature rather than a performance one. A buyer who mostly rides in mild weather may not need it and could choose a cheaper bagger.

Against the other full-dress tourers

A buyer should test the weight at parking speed before signing.

2026 Indian Roadmaster questions

How much does the Indian Roadmaster weigh?

At $34,999 the Roadmaster costs $15,000 more than Harley's Heritage Classic at $19,999, $9,999 more than the Street Glide at $24,999 and $9,000 more than the Road Glide at $25,999, and $9,499 more than Honda's Gold Wing at $25,500. Buying the touring equipment as a complete arrangement

Roadmaster shopping is about the touring package around the Thunderstroke 116. The engine's 1890cc displacement alone does not distinguish the day-to-day experience from another Indian using the same powertrain. Inspect the passenger position, luggage arrangement, wind protection and controls on the actual motorcycle. Those are the things that will be used on every trip, and their condition matters on a used example even when the engine starts cleanly.

The published wheel and tire descriptions differ at the two ends: a 17-inch front wheel with a 130/80B17 tire and a 16-inch rear with a 180/60R16. The construction markings differ too. When ordering replacements, preserve the whole specification rather than choosing by rim diameter or tread appearance. Do not transfer a tire-pressure or loading instruction from a superficially similar cruiser.

The 28-inch seat and 65.7-inch wheelbase are useful parking and fitting references. A passenger and loaded cases change how the bike is handled at a stop. Try reaching the stand, foot controls and bars in riding equipment, and check the surface where the motorcycle will normally be parked. A flat showroom floor is an easier situation than backing into a sloping parking place at the end of a trip.

Use the $34,999 base figure as the beginning of the price discussion. Ask the seller to identify the model, finish, fitted packages and accessories on the written offer. A comparison with a Springfield is incomplete if one price includes touring equipment that is missing from the other. Likewise, luggage volume is not a payload rating: use the Roadmaster's own total-load and case instructions for people and packed equipment.
